Carbon Capture and Storage – The Answer to the World’s SOS?

Sleipner, based in the North Sea, is the world’s oldest CCS project. Since 1996 Norwegian state controlled company Statoil has been injecting CO<span class=”sub”>2</span> into saline aquifers 1,000m down into the North Sea. They store around one million tonnes of CO<span class=”sub”>2</span> every year.
