Description
The project was developed by Bester Generacion SLU. Bester Generacion SLU and InfraRed Capital Partners are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 75% and 25% respectively.
Ahumada Solar PV Park 1 is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 426 hectares.
The project generates 345,780MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 82,100 households, offsetting 145,300t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $209.828m.
Development Status
The project construction commenced in 2018 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in June 2019.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Comision Federal de Electricidad under a power purchase agreement, starting from 2019.
Contractors Involved
Bester Generacion SLU and Energia Aljaval were selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
Suntech Power Holdings was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 443,000 modules each with 325W of nameplate capacity.
Huawei Technologies supplied 1,300 of its SUN 2000-100 KTL inverters to the project site.
The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by Arctech Solar Holding.
Bester Generacion SLU is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
