Description

The project is currently owned by Societe Algerienne de Production de l’Electricite with a stake of 100%.

It is a Gas Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Light Oil.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in October 2009.

Contractors Involved

Ansaldo Energia was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

Ain Djasser I & II Power Plant (Ain Djasser Power Plant Phase I) is equipped with Ansaldo Energia AE94.2 gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines with 127MW nameplate capacity.

Ain Djasser I & II Power Plant (Ain Djasser Power Plant Phase II) is equipped with Ansaldo Energia AE94.3A gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines with 132MW nameplate capacity.

Ansaldo Energia supplied Air-cooled electric generator for the Ain Djasser I & II Power Plant (Ain Djasser Power Plant Phase I).

Ansaldo Energia supplied Air-cooled electric generator for the Ain Djasser I & II Power Plant (Ain Djasser Power Plant Phase II).
