Description

The project is currently owned by Public Establishment for Electricity Generation and Transmission.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in 1995.

Contractors Involved

Koch Engineering and Siemens were selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

Al-Nasserieh Power Plant (Al-Nasserieh Power Plant Phase I) is equipped with Siemens 701DU gas turbines. The phase consists of 3 gas turbines with 112.5MW nameplate capacity.

Al-Nasserieh Power Plant (Al-Nasserieh Power Plant Phase II) is equipped with Siemens steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 150MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power supplied T240/370-Y-3Phase electric generator for the Al-Nasserieh Power Plant (Al-Nasserieh Power Plant Phase I).

Siemens supplied electric generator for the Al-Nasserieh Power Plant (Al-Nasserieh Power Plant Phase II).

John Cockerill Group supplied steam boiler for the project.
