Description

The project was developed by Bright Power Group and Clean Energy Concepts. Voltalia and Kingdom Electricity are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 70% and 30% respectively.

Al Ward Al Joury Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 260,000 square meters.

The project generates 26,000MWh of electricity.

Development status

The project got commissioned in October 2016.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to National Electric Power under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.169kWh for a period of 20 years.

Contractors involved

Voltalia Portugal was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Wuxi Suntech Power was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 43,562 modules at the site.

ABB supplied 45 inverters to the project site.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by IdeemaTec Deutschland.

Voltalia Portugal is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
