About juwi Energias Eolicas

juwi Energias Eolicas, Ltda. (jEE) is a wind energy project developer. It represents juwi Group in Central America. Established in 2006, the company’s wind energy services include consulting, planning, developing, funding, constructing, and managing wind parks. jEE is headquartered in San Jose, Costa Rica. Following the receipt of approval from BOT, jEE begun the development of the Guanacaste wind park in 2006. In April 2010, the company officially opened Central America’s largest wind power project, the Guanacaste wind park, installed with 55 turbines with a total power generation capacity of 49.5 MW. The project was supplied with Model E-44 wind turbines (of 900 kW each) from Enercon. In August 2010, juwi and its partners signed a contract for developing a second project, the Central Valley wind park, in Costa Rica. The project is under construction at Santa Ana near San Jose at an altitude of 1,800m. The wind park will be installed with 17 wind turbines having a total power generation capacity of 15.3 MW. The key partners of the company include Advanced Tower Systems, Enercon, GE Energy, Fuhrlander, Nordex, Vestas, and Windhunter.
