Anan Biomass Power Plant is a 75MW biopower project. It is planned in Tokushima, Japan. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in September 2022.

Description
OJI Green Resources and Enex Electric Power are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 80% and 20% respectively.
The project is expected to generate 520GWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 170,000 households. The project cost is expected to be around $313.194m.
The process of combustion will be adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Wood chips which is a kind of wood by-product will be used as a feedstock to power the project.
Development Status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in September 2022.
Contractors Involved
Sumitomo Heavy Industries is likely to be the supplier of the steam boiler for the project.
