Description

The project was developed by SNC-Lavalin Group. APG Asset Management, MEAG Munich Ergo AssetManagement and Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America (TIAA) are currently owning the project.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Consolidated Edison Co-NY Inc.

The project generated 2,581,964MWh of electricity.

Development status

The project got commissioned in July 2011.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to New York Power Authority under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 2 units of 7E.03 gas turbines, each with 200MW nameplate capacity.
