Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Absaroka Energy.
Banner Mountain is a pumped storage project. The gross head of the project will be 358.14m. The penstock length will be 1,524m. The penstock diameter will be 5.486m. The project is expected to generate 1,300 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $1,048.564m.
The hydro power project consists of 3 turbines, each with 133MW nameplate capacity.
The project has 3 electric generators that will be installed at the project site.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2027.
