Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Orissa Integrated Power. The company has a stake of 100%.
It is a steam turbine power plant. The fuel will be procured from meenakshi, meenakshi-b and meenakshi dip side coal blocks.
The project cost is expected to be around $4,684.35m.
The Coal fired project consists of 5 turbines, each with 800MW nameplate capacity.
Development Status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2022.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the Bedabahal Ultra Mega Power Plant will be sold to GRIDCO under a power purchase agreement. The offtake capacity is expected to be 1,300MW.
