The project is currently owned by Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board.
Bhaba is a run-of-river project. The project generated 580 GWh of electricity.
The hydro power project consists of 1 turbine with 4.5MW nameplate capacity.

Bharat Heavy Electricals was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of pelton turbines, each with 40MW nameplate capacity.
