Description
The project was developed by Castle Peak Power. CLP Power Hong Kong and China Southern Power Grid are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 70% and 30% respectively.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel. The fuel is procured from Second West-East Gas Pipeline, Yacheng Gas Field.
The project emitted 4,149,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
