Bodhan Biomass Power Plant is a 20MW biopower project. It is located in Andhra Pradesh, India. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in January 2006.

The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 27,096t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $31.988m.

Bagasse which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

The power generated from the project is sold to Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Shin Nippon Machinery was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project. TD Power Systems supplied the electric generator for the project.
