Description
The project is currently owned by Nizam Deccan Sugars.
The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 27,096t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $31.988m.
Bagasse which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in January 2006.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Shin Nippon Machinery was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project. TD Power Systems supplied the electric generator for the project.
