The project is currently owned by Hydro-Quebec.
Brisay is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 53,790 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 37.5m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 2 in number.

Contractors Involved
Canadian General Electric was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of kaplan turbines, each with 234.5MW nameplate capacity.
Canadian General Electric supplied 2 electric generators for the project.
