The project was developed by NRG Energy and SunEdison. The project is currently owned by Clearway Energy with a stake of 100%.

Buckthorn Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 40,000 households. The project cost is $386.143m.

The project got commissioned in May 2018.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Georgetown Utility Systems under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years from 2018. The contracted capacity is 154MW.

Contractors Involved

Swinerton Renewable Energy was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

First Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 1,696,500 modules at the site.

Power Electronics USA supplied 58 inverters to the project site.

The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by NEXTracker.
