Cachoeira Dourada is a 658MW hydro power project. It is located on Paranaiba river/basin in Goias, Brazil. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 1958.

The project was developed by Mendes Junior Trading E Engenharia and is currently owned by Enel Green Power Brasil Participacoes with a stake of 100%.

Cachoeira Dourada is a run-of-river project. The net head of the project is 32m. Cachoeira Dourada underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 1968-1972, 1976-1977, 1993-1994. The project generated 2,071 GWh of electricity.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in 1958.

Contractors Involved

The turbines for the hydro power project have been supplied by Dominion Engineering, Litostroj Engineering and Neyrpic.

The electric generators for the project were procured from ABB, Brown Boveri & Cie, Ercole Marelli Power and GE Renewable Energy.
