Description
The project is currently owned by Entergy Louisiana with a stake of 100%.
It is a Gas Turbine power plant that is used for Peakload. The fuel is procured from Gulf South Pipeline.
The project generated 176,773MWh of electricity.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in May 2000.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Cleco Corporate Holdings under a power purchase agreement.

Parsons was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
Calcasieu Power Station (Calcasieu Power Station Unit I) is equipped with Siemens SGT6-5000F gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 174.3MW nameplate capacity.
Calcasieu Power Station (Calcasieu Power Station Unit II) is equipped with Siemens SGT6-5000F gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 184.5MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens Energy supplied electric generator for the Calcasieu Power Station (Calcasieu Power Station Unit I).
