The process of combustion has been adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Wood waste which is a kind of wood by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Ontario Electricity Financial under a power purchase agreement, starting from 2000.
Alstom was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project.
Foster Wheeler supplied steam boiler for the project.
