Description

The project is being developed by Capital Power and Renewable Energy Services. The project is currently owned by Capital Power with a stake of 100%.

Capital Power Hornet Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project.

The project is expected to generate 159,347MWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $80.85m.

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by January 2023.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Duke Energy Carolinas under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors Involved

Hanwha Q CELLS will be the supplier of the PV modules for the solar power project. The company is expected to provide 243,810 modules each with 400W of nameplate capacity.

Sungrow Power Supply is likely to be the supplier of 30 of its Sungrow 2500U_CEC inverters to the project site.
