Description

The project was developed by AES Chivor & Cia. The AES and Others are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 99% and 1% respectively.

Castilla La Nueva Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 18 hectares.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 16,000 households, offsetting 14,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in October 2019.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Ecopetrol under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years from 2019. The contracted capacity is 20.4MW.

Contractors involved

Ingenieria Y Suministros Asturias was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

JinkoSolar Holding was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 54,500 modules each with 385W of nameplate capacity.

AES Chivor & Cia is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
