Description
The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Bagasse which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Empresa Nacional de Energia Electrica under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
GE Power was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project. The company provided 1 turbine with 16.5MW nameplate capacity. GE Power supplied the electric generator for the project.
