Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Department of Energy, South Africa.
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant.
The project cost is expected to be around $1,935.15m.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Eskom Holdings SOC under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
