Description

The project is currently owned by Tenaga Nasional with a stake of 100%.

It is a Gas Turbine power plant that is used for Peakload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in May 1992.

Contractors Involved

ABB was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 4 units of GT13E1 gas turbines, each with 130MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power supplied WY21L-097LLT electric generator for the project.
