Corbetti Geothermal Power Project is a 150MW geothermal power project. It is planned in Oromia, Ethiopia. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. The project construction is likely to commence in 2022 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2023.

The project is being developed by Corbetti Geothermal. Berkeley energy, InfraCo Africa and Reykjavik Geothermal are currently owning the project.
Corbetti Geothermal Power Project will run at a temperature of 250 Degree Celsius.
The project cost is expected to be around $800m.
The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Ethiopian Electric Power under a power purchase agreement. The offtake capacity is expected to be 150MW.
