The project was developed by First Solar. Southern Power and 8point3 Energy Partners are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 66% and 34% respectively.
Desert Stateline Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 1,685 acres.
The project generates 673GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 100,000 households, offsetting 165,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $620.259m.
The project got commissioned in August 2016.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Southern California Edison under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
First Solar was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
First Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 3,200,000 modules at the site.
