The Dung Quat Gas Power Plant I is 750MW gas fired power project. It is planned in Quang Ngai, Vietnam. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2021 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in December 2023.

Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Vietnam Electricity.

It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The fuel will be procured from Blue Whale field.

The project cost is expected to be around $804.8m.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by December 2023.
