Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Ente Vasco de la Energia and Iberdrola. The company’s ownership stake in the project stands as 75% and 20% respectively.

Ekienea Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 200 hectares.

The electricitiy generated from the plant will offset 25,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $78.9m.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
