Description
The project is currently owned by Virginia Electric and Power.
It is a Gas Turbine power plant that is used for Peakload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel oil. The fuel is procured from Columbia Gas Transmission.
The project generated 32,590MWh of electricity.

Contractors Involved
Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 3 units of W501DS gas turbines, each with 116MW nameplate capacity.
