Description
The project was developed by Engie. Engie, Meridiam Infrastructure Finance SAr.l and Fonds Souverain d’Investissements Strategiques Senegalai are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40%, 40% and 20% respectively.
Engie Kahone Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 36 hectares.
The project cost is $72.05m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in June 2021.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Senegal National Electricity Agency under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.038kWh for a period of 25 years. The contracted capacity is 35MW.
Contractors Involved
Jinko Solar was selected as the supplier of PV modules for the project.
Engie is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project for a period of 25 years.
