Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in January 2020 with 25 contracts and a 27.8% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 23 contracts and a 25.6% share and Electricity Procurement with 15 contracts and a 16.7% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 14 contracts and a 56% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: six contracts and a 24% share
  3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: four contracts and a 16% share
  4. Power Purchase Agreement: one contract and a 4% share.

Solar is top technology for Europe power plant contracts in January 2020

Looking at power plant contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for 11 contracts with a 44% share, followed by wind with ten contracts and a 40% share and nuclear with three contracts and a 12% share.
