Description
The project was developed by Akuo Energy Uruguay. The project is currently owned by Eurus Energy Holdings with a stake of 43.5% and Akuo Energy Uruguay.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 73,413 households, offsetting 36,228t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $78.5m.

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in 2016.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Administracion Nacional de Usinas y Trasmisiones Electricas under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.
Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 15 units of V117-3.3 MW – IEC IIA turbines, each with 3.3MW nameplate capacity.
Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 10 years.
