The project is currently owned by S.C. Hidroelectrica.
The gross head of the project is 13.5m. Frunzaru underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2005-2014.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in 1990.
Contractors Involved
UCM Resita was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of bulb turbines, each with 14.25MW nameplate capacity.
Hydro Engineering supplied 4 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 14 MVA.
