The project is currently owned by PT Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali with a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from PT. Pertamina Hulu Energi WMO.

Gresik Steam Turbine Power Plant (Gresik Steam Turbine Power Plant Phase II) is equipped with Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions TCDF steam turbines. The phase consists of 2 steam turbines with 200MW nameplate capacity.
