Gunung Salak Geothermal Power Plant, Indonesia

Gunung Salak Geothermal Power Plant is a 375MW geothermal power project. It is located in West Java, Indonesia. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 1994.

Description

The project was developed by Chevron Geothermal Indonesia and PT Pertamina (Persero). The project is currently owned by AC Energy and Infrastructure with a stake of 19.8%, Electricity Generating Public and Star Energy Geothermal Holdings.

The geothermal plant is of single flash type. The geothermal site has in total 51 number of wells. Out of this 32 are production wells and remaining 19 are injection wells.

The project generates 473.04GWh of electricity.

The project got commissioned in 1994.

PT Tripatra Engineers and Constructors was selected to render EPC services for the Gunung Salak Geothermal Power Plant (Gunung Salak Unit 1) project. PT Tripatra Engineers and Constructors was selected to render EPC services for the Gunung Salak Geothermal Power Plant (Gunung Salak Unit 2) project. PT Tripatra Engineers and Constructors was selected to render EPC services for the Gunung Salak Geothermal Power Plant (Gunung Salak Unit 3) project.

Gunung Salak Geothermal Power Plant (Gunung Salak Unit 1) is equipped with Ansaldo Energia turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 55MW nameplate capacity.

Gunung Salak Geothermal Power Plant (Gunung Salak Unit 2) is equipped with Ansaldo Energia turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 55MW nameplate capacity.

Gunung Salak Geothermal Power Plant (Gunung Salak Unit 3) is equipped with Ansaldo Energia turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 55MW nameplate capacity.

Gunung Salak Geothermal Power Plant (Gunung Salak Unit 4) is equipped with Fuji Electric FA Components & Systems turbine.

Gunung Salak Geothermal Power Plant (Gunung Salak Unit 5) is equipped with Fuji Electric FA Components & Systems turbine.

Gunung Salak Geothermal Power Plant (Gunung Salak Unit 6) is equipped with Fuji Electric FA Components & Systems turbine.
