Description

The project is currently owned by Associated Electric Cooperative.

It is a Gas Turbine power plant that is used for Peakload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Panhandle Pipeline Company.

The project generated 7,611MWh of electricity.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in June 2002.

Contractors Involved

Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Dual-Fuel fired project. The company provided 3 units of SGT6-2000E gas turbines, each with 107MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens supplied electric generator for the project.
