IP Athos Solar PV Park, US

IP Athos Solar PV Park is a 649MW solar PV power project. It is planned in California, the US. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2021.

The project is being developed by Intersect Power and SB Energy Holdings. The project is currently owned by Intersect Power.

IP Athos Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 3,440 acres.

The project is expected to generate 2,200,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 179,000 households. The project is expected to offset 1,700,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $699.622m.

Development Status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2021.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the IP Athos Solar PV Park (Athos I) will be sold to Direct Energy Business under a power purchase agreement. The offtake capacity is expected to be 250MWh.

Contractors Involved

Rosendin Electric and Signal Energy Constructors are expected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

First Solar will be the supplier of the PV modules for the solar power project. The company is expected to install 1,480,000 modules at the site.

The project will utilise trackers likely to be supplied by NEXTracker.
