ISKEN Sugozu Power Plant is a 1,320MW coal fired power project. It is located in Adana, Turkey. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in November 2003.

Description

STEAG Enerji Ticareti ve Hizmetleri and Oyak are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

It is a steam turbine power plant.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in November 2003.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Turkiye Elektrik Ticaret ve Taahhut under a power purchase agreement for a period of 16 years, starting from 2003.

Contractors Involved

Babcock Borsig Power, GAMA Holding, Siemens and Tekfen Construction and Installation were selected to render EPC services for the coal fired power project.

Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Coal fired project. The company provided 2 units of SST5-6000 steam turbines, each with 660MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens supplied Hydrogen/Water Cooled electric generator for the project.

The steam boilers for the coal fired power project have been supplied byBabcock & Wilcox Enterprises and Mitsubishi Power Europe.
