Ivankiv Biomass Power Plant is an 18MW biopower project. It is located in Kiev, Ukraine. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in July 2014.

Description

The project generates 121GWh of electricity.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Agricultural by-product and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in July 2014.

Contractors Involved

MAN Turbomachinery India was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project.

Hurst Boiler & Welding supplied steam boiler for the project. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 440°C. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 30bar.
