The project is developed by Dubal Holding and Mubadala Investment. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant.
The project cost is $272.22m.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Emirates Global Aluminium under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.
Contractors Involved
SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
Siemens Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 1 unit of SGT6 -8000H gas turbine.
Siemens is the O&M contractor for thermal power project for a period of 20 years.
