Hanergy Holding Group, Jinsha River Hydropower Development and Yunnan Development and Investment are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 80%, 12% and 8% respectively.

The hydro reservoir capacity is 913 million cubic meter. The project generated 11,043 GWh of electricity.

The project construction commenced in 2003 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2011.
