The project was developed by Recurrent Energy and is currently owned by Clearway Energy with a stake of 100%.
Kansas South Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 203 acres.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 4,625 households. The project cost is $105.69m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in June 2013.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Pacific Gas and Electric under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2013.
Contractors Involved
Swinerton Renewable Energy was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
Sharp Electronics was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 113,280 modules at the site.
Advanced Energy Industries supplied 40 of its AE 500NX inverters to the project site.
The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by Array Technologies.
Swinerton Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
