Karadeniz Powership Onur Sultan – Indonesia is a 481.44MW gas fired power project. It is located in North Sumatra, Indonesia. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in July 2018.

The project is developed and owned by Karpowership. The company has a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Internal Combustion Plant (CCICP) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Heavy Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from PT Perta Arun Gas.
The project cost is $367.878m.
The Gas fired project consists of 2 steam turbines, each with 15MW nameplate capacity.
The project got commissioned in July 2018.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to PT PLN (Persero) under a power purchase agreement for a period of 5 years.
Wartsila was selected as the engine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 24 units of Wartsila 50DF engines, each with 18.81MW nameplate capacity.
Wartsila supplied electric generator for the project.
