Katwe-Kikorongo Geothermal Power Plant is a 200MW geothermal power project. It is planned in Western, Uganda. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.

The project is being developed by AAE Systems and Katwe Geothermal Power Project. The project is currently owned by Katwe Geothermal Power Project.
Katwe-Kikorongo Geothermal Power Plant will run at a temperature of 150 Degree Celsius.
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the Katwe-Kikorongo Geothermal Power Plant will be sold to Uganda Electricity Transmission under a power purchase agreement at the rate of $0.08kWh. The offtake capacity is expected to be 200MW.
