Description
The project is developed and owned by Energy Works (Hull).
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 43,000 households, offsetting 30,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $196.09m.
The process of gasification has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Industrial waste, municipal solid waste and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.
