Kozjak is an 80MW hydro power project. It is located on Treska river/basin in Skopje, Macedonia. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 1994 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2004.

Description

The project is currently owned by Elektrani na Severna Makedonija.

The hydro reservoir capacity is 550 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 95m. The project generated 156 GWh of electricity.

Contractors Involved

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 turbines, each with 42.1MW nameplate capacity.
