Contractors Involved
Suzlon Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 24 units of S97-2.1 MW turbines, each with 2.1MW nameplate capacity.
About Gujarat Industries Power
Gujarat Industries Power Co Ltd (GIPCL) is an energy utility company, that owns and operates various electricity generation plants. It produces power from natural gas, lignite coal and solar sources. Through power purchase agreement, the company supplies power to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), and Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd (GSFC), Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals Ltd (GACL. GIPCL sources natural gas from Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), and lignite coal from Vastan and Mangrol-Valia lignite mines. It also provides operational and management services to its gas and lignite based power plants; power plant project management consultancy; testing; commissioning; and troubleshooting services. GIPCL is headquartered in Vadodara, Gujarat, India.
