Kulekhani No 1 is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 85.3 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 550m. The penstock length is 1,324m. The penstock diameter is 2.1m. The project generated 211 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $117.84m.

Bharat Heavy Electricals was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of pelton turbines, each with 30MW nameplate capacity.
