Description

The project is currently owned by KVK Bio-Energy.

The project generates 95.04GWh electricity thereby offsetting 58,307t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $23.991m.

KVK Biomass Power Plant is a co-firing project. Rice husk which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

The project consists of 1 turbine with 15MW nameplate capacity.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in February 2006.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission under a power purchase agreement.
