The project is currently owned by Stadtwerke Dusseldorf with a stake of 100%.
It is a CCGT with Cogen power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Light Heating Oil.
The project got commissioned in 1974.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company supplied GT13B model gas turbines for the project.
GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.
Steinmuller Engineering supplied steam boiler for the project.
