Lincs is a 270MW offshore wind power project. The project is located in North Sea, England, the UK. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in August 2013.

Description

The project was developed by Centrica Energy. Green Investment Group and Orsted are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 75% and 25% respectively.

The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the project.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 200,000 households. The project cost is $903.69m.

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in August 2013.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to British Gas under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years.

Contractors Involved

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 75 units of SWT-3.6-120 turbines, each with 3.6MW nameplate capacity.

Orsted is the O&M contractor for the wind power project.
